About This Place

Located in the heart of Los Angeles’ vibrant food scene, Prince Street Pizza offers a bold and satisfying spin on classic New York-style pizza right at 827 E 3rd St. This pizza restaurant specializes in thick, flavor-packed slices that embrace both tradition and innovation, appealing to anyone craving a genuinely indulgent, cheesy slice or square.

The star of the menu is undoubtedly their iconic Sicilian-style thick crust pies, like the Meat Lovers and the Hard Spicy Pie, which deliver a hearty punch of robust, savory flavors. The crust strikes the perfect balance—crispy on the outside, yet tender and chewy within, creating an irresistible contrast that lingers on your taste buds. The toppings are generous and thoughtfully layered, with spicy pepperoni cups that curl into crispy edges, infusing each bite with a smoky, slightly greasy richness that’s both comforting and exciting.

For fans of more traditional styles, the Classic Pepperoni and the Cheese Pizza showcase the restaurant’s commitment to quality and freshness, offering the ideal crispy crust and a harmonious blend of mozzarella and their renowned Og Pizza Sauce. Those seeking lighter or alternative options will find delight in the Margherita or Vegetarian pizzas, as well as the thoughtfully crafted Vegan Square and gluten-free personal Sicilian options, which reflect their dedication to inclusivity without compromising flavor.

Beyond pizza, indulge your sweet tooth with delectable desserts that cap off the meal splendidly. The Flourless Chocolate Cake, rich and perfectly moist, or the creamy NY Cheesecake made with authentic New York roots, provide a luxurious finish to your dining experience. The Italian Rainbow Cake, a layered almond-flavored masterpiece with raspberry filling, is another standout treat that perfectly complements the bold pizza flavors.

The atmosphere at Prince Street Pizza is casual yet lively, matching the urban energy of downtown Los Angeles. Quick and friendly service enhances the experience, making it ideal for a relaxed lunch or an enthusiastic late-night craving session. Diners appreciate the option to mix and match slices, allowing a dynamic tasting adventure that satisfies every pizza preference in the group.

Feedback from patrons underscores both the strengths and nuances of this pizzeria. Some have praised the perfectly crispy crust and the bold, flavorful topping combinations that define their signature pies, while others note a preference for the classic thinner slices over the thick Sicilian style. The meat lovers and spicy pies consistently earn high marks for their robust seasoning and satisfying crunch. Even on moments when flavors may feel a bit subdued, the overall experience remains one of quality and authenticity.

In essence, Prince Street Pizza stands out as one of Los Angeles’ top-tier spots for those seeking that iconic New York slice with an LA twist. Whether you’re a pepperoni purist or a veggie lover, there’s a slice here to thrill every palate. If you’re after a bold, hearty pizza experience with a welcoming vibe and homemade, distinctive sauces like their Spicy Vodka and Fra Diavolo, this gem is not to be missed.

For pizza aficionados and casual diners alike, Prince Street Pizza promises a delicious journey through thoughtfully crafted pies and an inviting atmosphere that keep guests coming back for more.

was thrown off by the slices being reheated not gonna lie but when I tried the pizza it tasted fresh! I had a thin slice of cheese (had to add pepperoni from another pizza) and several different thick slices. Love how you can order a slice of each! The thin was my favorite as I don't like thick that much but it was all really good. If you like thick crust pizza COME!! We also ordered a salad and it was fresh and all the ingredients and dressing was surprisingly amazing!

I got the cheese pizza, the meat lovers pizza, and what they’re most famous for: the spicy spring. Surprisingly, my favorite pizza out of the bunch was the regular cheese slice. It was a classic New York style slice, but to my delight, the crust was perfectly crispy. The Sicilian style squares were decent, but I wasn’t blown away. The spicy spring pizza just tasted like normal pepperoni to me. There were plenty of open seats outside as well, so I had a pleasant time eating my pizza outside. I’d definitely come back to get the cheese slice again!

If you love pepperoni pizza, this place won’t disappoint The crust is perfectly crispy on the outside, and the pepperoni cups are crunchy and packed with flavor. It’s a bit on the greasy side (in a good way), but that’s part of the charm. Service was quick and friendly, and the vibe felt very good. Definitely one of the best spots in LA when you’re craving that bold, cheesy slice.

First time coming to Prince Street Pizza and it was a good experience. I had the Meat Lovers and the Mercer Margherita and out of the 2 I liked the Meat Lovers a bit more. I will be honest and say that I wasn't blown away by the pizza. It was good but nothing to write home about. I felt like the Margherita was a bit plain and lacked flavor. The Meat Lovers had a bit more flavor and seasoning to it but I feel like it still didn't have enough. The slices are a good size so that's not an issue. There's only outdoor seating so be aware of that. We did have to wait a bit for them to warm up the pizzas but it wasn't too bad. Just be aware that some slices are $6 or $7 so it's on the pricier side. All in all I would probably come back but I won't go out of my way.

Prince Street Pizza delivers a satisfying pizza experience that’s hard to beat. I tried a slice of the Naughty Pie and the Original Prince, both of which were incredibly flavorful. The crust was perfectly crisp, and the toppings were generous, making each bite a delight. The bold flavors definitely hit the spot and left me wanting more. The staff at Prince Street Pizza contributed to the positive experience with their friendliness and willingness to help. They answered all my questions about the menu and offered great recommendations, enhancing my visit. If you’re in the mood for delicious pizza, I highly recommend stopping by Prince Street Pizza—it’s a slice of heaven you won’t want to miss.
